K.O Episode 1 Street Fighter IV Grand Final Match (1 & 2) Serie 1

The final match (1 & 2) between Hiromiki Kumada aka Itabashi_Zangief (Zangief) and Tan Jia Chun aka Pei Hoon (Sagat).

  • ITABASHI_ZANGIEF (Zangief) vs PEI HOON (Sagat) Results: 2-0
 
Pei Hoon (Sagat) from Singapore began match 1 round 1 well by finishing Itabashi_Zangief (Zangief) from Japan with the trademark Tiger's uppercut. Emotions were running extremely high! Not just the prize money was in stake, the pride and honour to be K.O Episode 1 Street Fighter IV Champion was even more important to some, perhaps to Pei Hoon himself. With the home ground advantage, the crowd cheered on for Pei Hoon! However, Itabashi_Zangief was not succumbed to the pressure, composed himself in the next 2 rounds of match 1 by using Zangief's huge swift hand chops to knockout Sagat. At Match 2, Itabashi_Zangief countered Pei Hoon strategy efficiently, trapping Sagat at the corner to finished Sagat off with crouching light kicks in the next 2 rounds of Match 2 to take serie 1. However, Itabashi_Zangief did not won the championship yet as he was from the loser route. Therefore, he needed to win another serie (Each serie is best 2 out of 3 matches) inorder to complete the job! 
 

K.O Episode 1 Street Fighter IV Grand Final Match (3, 4, 5) Serie 2

The final match (3, 4, 5) between Hiromiki Kumada aka Itabashi_Zangief (Zangief) and Tan Jia Chun aka Pei Hoon (Sagat).

  • ITABASHI_ZANGIEF (Zangief) vs PEI HOON (Sagat) Results: 2-1
 
In Serie 2, Pei Hoon took match 3 quite comfortably, Tiger fireball and standing heavy kicks to keep Zangief at bay. Itabashi_Zangief managed to counter Pei Hoon's zoning strategy. Forcing him into the corner again, combining SPD, Lariat and EX-Green Glove moves to defeat Pei Hoon in match 4 and 5. Itabashi_Zangief was crowned K.O Episode 1 Street Fighter IV champion, Pei Hoon came in as 1st runner-up and while Poongko took the 2nd runner-up spot. Congratulations to the 3 of them and especially to Pei Hoon, YOU made us SINGAPOREANS real proud! Smile
